Automotive dry ice blasting and
preservation, done properly.

Based in Oxfordshire, IceBlastPro provides automotive dry ice blasting, laser cleaning, rust and corrosion treatment, underseal removal and long-term underbody preservation for classic, performance and prestige vehicles across the UK.

From inspection to protection

We don’t just clean what you can already see. We inspect the underside, remove contamination with automotive dry ice blasting, treat corrosion where needed, and protect the vehicle with the right underbody preservation programme.

First, we reveal what’s really underneath.

Before any vehicle is treated or protected, the underside needs to be cleaned properly. We use automotive dry ice blasting and targeted laser cleaning to remove contamination, expose corrosion and give us a clearer view of the areas most owners never see.

  1. Inspect

Before any tool is lifted, the underbody is assessed in detail. Test patches reveal what’s beneath the surface – so we know exactly what we’re working with.

    • Pre-work assessment
    • Test patches
    • Condition review
  2. Clean

Dry ice and laser cleaning lift contamination, oil and failing coatings without water or abrasion. The car’s original surfaces are revealed, undamaged.

    • Dry ice blasting
    • Laser cleaning
  3. Treat

Corrosion is chemically stabilised. Weak metal is repaired or welded where required. Paint touch-ins happen here too – whatever the car needs to be sound again before protection begins.

    • Rust treatment
    • Chemical stabilisation
    • Paint touch-ins
    • Welding
  4. Protect

Only once the underlying work is done do the protection systems go on – matched to the vehicle, applied properly, and given the time to cure.

    • Underseal
    • Cavity wax
    • Stone chip
  5. Document

Every stage is photographed and recorded. You collect the car with a treatment report and visual evidence of what was done – and what’s been preserved.

    • Photo & video record
    • Treatment report

Watch the Shelby GT500 preservation in action

In this Shelby GT500 preservation project, we dry ice blasted the underside to remove contamination, failing coatings and loose corrosion. Once the original surfaces were visible, we assessed the suspension, rear axle, leaf springs, wheel arches and chassis areas before carrying out rust treatment and long-term underbody protection.

I have recently used IceBlastPro for the second time! Again, the results were astounding! The service is second to none, great communication, great images/videos provided of the process, before, during and after. For anyone thinking of having their pride and joy meticulously treated, IceBlastPro are the ones to trust! I can’t thank Nail, Steph, Neil and the rest of the team enough.

ChrisAston Martin Vantage (2017)

Just want to thank the team at IceBlastPro. They did a wonderful job on my Land Rover Defender. The underneath, inside the chassis, wheel arches and engine bay were all done and finished to a high standard. In fact it was so clean and looking new, we commented that “we could eat our dinner off the underneath”. Worth every penny, highly recommended and very professional.

DerekLand Rover Defender 90 (2013)

They are petrolheads, knowledgeable, caring, down to earth, great people. If you love your cars and are thinking of giving them some much-needed TLC, I recommend whole-heartedly – get in touch for an amazing experience.

JeremyPorsche 911 997.1 (2006)

Massive thanks to Neil and the whole team of true petrolheads at IceBlastPro for giving my classic car the full treatment of clean, rust treatment and sealant for the underside, engine and wheel arches, protecting it for years ahead. Excellent service with loads of pictures and videos of the process, which is critical for classic ownership. Highly recommended.

AntonisFerrari 456 (1995)

The whole team were incredibly friendly and the communication was excellent throughout, with verbal progress and photo updates. The end result was amazing, and now I feel I can use the car in all weathers if I go travelling and not worry about it, as the underside is protected. It’s a great investment in your pride and joy and I highly recommend IceBlastPro.

CraigPorsche 911 SC (1979)

Totally professional operation and lovely guys to do business with. I was very pleased with the chassis clean they did for me.

ConnorBMW M535i (1985)

Neil and his team were excellent and very informative throughout the process, with photos and videos through each step of the way, and when minor issues were found on the car I was informed straight away with options/solutions for repair. I seriously can’t fault the commitment and service this team gives you. I would recommend anyone wanting to get their underbody dry ice blasted and sealed properly – this is the company to go to.

Worth Knowing

The questions owners ask
before protecting their car.

Can you seal over rust? Is dry ice blasting better than pressure washing? What happens if we find corrosion underneath?

We’ve answered the common questions in one place, based on what we see beneath real vehicles every week.

The Method

How dry ice actually cleans.

No water. No abrasion. No chemicals – just solid CO₂ at −79°C that thermal-shocks contamination off the metal and sublimates away on impact, lifting decades of underseal, salt and grime without touching the substrate beneath.

The Method

How laser cleaning actually works.

No media. No chemicals. A pulsed fibre laser is absorbed by rust and reflected by sound steel – so it ablates pitted corrosion off seams, edges and fasteners that blasting can’t reach, leaving the metal underneath untouched.

Done Properly

We sweat the
small stuff.

Most cars come to us a year or two after another treatment that fell short of the standard the car needed. This is what we do differently.

Borescope inspection inside a closed cavity – we confirm the wax is reaching where it’s needed instead of filling blind.
01

Pure Dry Ice

No water. No chemicals. No abrasion. Contamination lifts away on impact, leaving the substrate untouched and bone dry – the foundation everything else depends on.

02

Multi-Stage Rust Treatment

Surface rust removed. Deeper corrosion stabilised, neutralised and encapsulated at source. Never sealed over. Sealing rust just hides it, it doesn’t stop it.

03

Borescope Cavities

We look inside cavities before injecting wax, so we know it’s reaching where it’s needed. Most workshops inject blind. We inspect first, document, then fill properly.

04

Substrate Prep Before Sealing

Sealants only work on a properly prepared surface. Cleaned, dried, primed, neutralised. Skip this step and the sealant fails in two years. That’s why so many cars come to us.

05

Vehicle Wrapped Throughout

Seat covers, floor covers, panel protection. The car is wrapped before any work begins and stays protected through every stage. Your car comes back exactly how it arrived.

06

Anti-Seize & New Clips

Anti-seize on every reinstalled bolt. Broken plastic clips replaced as standard. Reassembly held by new hardware, not what was already failing.

07

2-Bucket Wash, Blow Dry

Final detail done right. pH-neutral solutions, two-bucket method, blow-dried not towel-dried. The same standard you’d expect from a top concours detailer applied to every job.

08

Treatment Document, Forever

Photo, video, products used, application zones, dates. A printed record stays with the vehicle for the next owner, the next workshop, the next decade.

09

Time & Access

We take wheel arch liners and trays off where needed to reach hidden areas. Hours of inspection and blasting per vehicle. Thoroughly, not superficially.

10

High-Spec Machinery

We use leading dry ice blasting technology, specialist equipment and high-capacity compressors, representing an investment of over £100,000. This gives us controlled pressure delivery, consistent media flow and the precision needed for complex underbody, wheel arch and engine bay assemblies.
